CATHERINE: Are you English, Sir?
DAVID: No I'm Scottish.
CATHERINE: So, you aren't English then!
DAVID: No I'm British.
CATHERINE: So you aren't English then!
Surfing on the web and searching for interesting and humorous videos on YouTube, I found this hilarious video played by Catherine Tate and David Tennant.
David Tennant is a very well-known theatre actor. 'He was ranked the 24th most influential person in the UK's media, on the 9 July 2007 Media Guardian supplement of The Guardian. Tennant also appeared in the paper's annual media rankings in 2006.' (Wikipedia)
In September, I heard about him for the first time. My friend Karen invited me to go to Stratford-Upon-Avon to see Hamlet, played by the Royal Shakespeare Company and by David Tennant (of course!). I still don't know whether I'll be able to go there or not, but I'm sure Karen will give me a very rich and detailed report about Hamlet (and David Tennant)! =) lol

Hi Martina,
LOL! This video is very hilarious, but Catherine’s behaviour is so maddening! I can’t stand such a silly student! I’d kill her if I were David Tennant! She's so heavy! Frankly, I had some difficulties in understanding this video; Catherine speaks very fast. I needed to listen to it twice before realizing that Catherine was reciting William Shakespeare’s Sonnet 130 “My Mistress’ Eyes are Nothing Like the Sun”! Anyway, thank you for this funny video, which jokes with the stereotypes English people have about Scots accent.
Ah! Just out of curiosity, have a look at the language zacefronisfit14 used in his/her comment on this video on YouTube: “HILARIOUS!!! luv it...specially th bit where she goes "u take th hi road nd ill take th low road" in the scottish accent... catherin tate is DA BEST!!! lol”. Astounding, isn’t it?
Bye,
Elena
